About the Conference

As we sail past the memories of the global pandemic, the world enters a new entanglement of technology, society and power – and perhaps a search of new Identity.

With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and greater reliance on cyber-physical systems, there is a paradigm shift in the field of Creative expressions which needs to place itself responsibly to form new collaborations in the effort to address today’s social, ecological & identity issues.

The discourses emerging out of these changes have made us take a renewed interest in aesthetics, representation, pedagogy, materiality and fabrication.

How does the field of Art, Design & other creative expressions respond to this change?

This conference will provide a platform to discuss experimentation, alternate viewpoints & norms that might become new identities in the world of creative research and practices. The platform also can be seen as a creative space for future collaborations among scholars from diverse backgrounds.

The considerable human engagement in complex systems and their broad interactions with other systems are redefining design paradigms.

In these challenging times, the theme of the conference is “IDENTITY” – The three pillars of Indian culture form the basis of IDENTITY.

SARVODAYA (progress for all)
DHARMA CHAKRA (cycle and circularity)
VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBHKAM (world as one family)

The major objective of the conference is to establish a forum for interaction among participants in order to envision a better world through debates and discussions.

By fostering experimentation, research, alternative ideas, and governance framework that could create new identities in the field of creative research and practices. This forum may also be considered as a creative setting for scholarly teams from varied backgrounds to collaborate together in the future.
